The schedules for the 2026 Men’s and Women’s Repechage Tournaments have now officially been released, with both competitions taking place from Monday 8 – Thursday 11 June 2026.
With places at the 2026 World Championships in Ottawa on the line, four days of high-level international wheelchair basketball await as teams battle for qualification in two exciting tournaments hosted in Spain and Thailand.
The Women’s Repechage will take place in Madrid, Spain, while the Men’s Repechage will be hosted in Suphan Buri, Thailand.

Women’s Repechage – Madrid, Spain
Eight teams will compete across two groups in Madrid:
Group A
- Angola
- Australia
- Colombia
- Germany
Group B
- Argentina
- France
- Spain
- Thailand
Competition begins on Monday 8 June with an exciting opening day schedule featuring:
- 10:00 - Angola vs Germany
- 12:45 - Spain vs Thailand
- 15:00 - Colombia vs Australia
- 17:15 Argentina vs France
The group phase will conclude on Wednesday 10 June before crossover games take place on Thursday 11 June.
Men’s Repechage – Suphan Buri, Thailand
The Men’s Repechage will also feature eight nations competing for qualification spots.

Opening day action on Monday 8 June includes:
- 10:00 - Senegal vs Iran
- 12:15 - Netherlands vs Venezuela
- 14:30 - Thailand vs Republic of Korea
- 16:45 - Brazil vs Poland
Following three days of group-stage competition, the crossover games will take place on Thursday 11 June.
Road to Ottawa 2026
Both tournaments form a key part of the Road to Ottawa 2026, with teams aiming to secure their place at the 2026 World Championships in Canada.
