An updated schedule for the 2026 IWBF Men's Repechage, taking place in Suphanburi, Thailand, has been released following the late withdrawal of Venezuela from the competition.
Due to financial reasons, Venezuela informed IWBF in the final days before the tournament that they would be withdrawing from the tournament. As a result, the competition schedule has been amended. The overall structure and format of the tournament remain unchanged, with all teams in Group A receiving a 20–0 forfeit victory against Venezuela.
The revised competition schedule is as follows:
Monday 8 June
11:30 – Senegal vs Iran
13:45 – Thailand vs Korea
16:00 – Brazil vs Poland
Netherlands receive a 20–0 forfeit victory over Venezuela.
Tuesday 9 June
11:30 –Netherlands vs Thailand
13:45 – Poland vs Senegal
16:00 – Iran vs Brazil
Korea receive a 20–0 forfeit victory over Venezuela.
Wednesday 10 June
11:30 – Poland vs Iran
13:45 – Brazil vs Senegal
16:00 – Korea vs Netherlands
Thailand receive a 20–0 forfeit victory over Venezuela.
Thursday 11 June – Qualification Round
11:30 – Crossover 1
13:45 – Crossover 2
16:00 – Crossover 3
The first-placed team in Group B will automatically qualify for Ottawa 2026 IWBF World Championships. The remaining qualification games on 11 June will determine the other teams advancing from the tournament.
IWBF will review the late withdrawal and determine any applicable actions in accordance with its regulations following the conclusion of the competition.
