IWBF is delighted to announce that Egypt will host the 2026 IWBF 3x3 Open World Championships for Men and Women, taking place from 26–28 November 2026.
The event, awarded to the Egyptian Wheelchair Basketball Federation (EWBF), will bring together teams from across the globe for three days of high-intensity, fast-paced 3x3 wheelchair basketball action in the city of Cairo.
A Global Stage for 3x3 Wheelchair Basketball
The IWBF 3x3 Open World Championships will once again be delivered as an open competition, allowing nations worldwide the opportunity to participate without the need for qualification tournaments. The new format continues to support the growth and accessibility of the discipline, encouraging both emerging and established nations to compete on the international stage.
