The draw for the preliminary round groups of the Wheelchair Basketball World Championships will take place on Monday 29th January in the in the host city of Hamburg,
The event will be streamed live at 7pm (CET) from the St Pauli Museum in Hamburg on the World Championships Facebook Page.
Representatives from International Wheelchair Basketball Federation will oversee the running of the draw.
The draw will decide the pools for the World Championships, which will see the world’s wheelchair basketball elite meet from the 16th August to 26th August 2018 at the edel-optics.de Arena in Hamburg. This will be the first time that Germany has ever hosted a World Championships and it will also be the biggest ever, with 16 men’s teams and 12 women’s teams competing for the title of World Champions.
The station Hamburg 1, who will be organising the livestream, will then broadcast its sports programme "Rasant" from the museum starting at 8:15 pm, speaking with guests of the draw.
