The 2025 IWBF European Championship Men – Division C officially got underway on Sunday, 7 September, in Samokov, Bulgaria, with an Opening Ceremony and the first day of exciting action on court. Ten national teams are competing over six days for the chance to earn promotion to Division B, in what promises to be a landmark week for the growth of wheelchair basketball across Europe.

As part of its commitment to “Mobility for All,” Toyota is supporting the championship by providing vehicles for transfers and introducing a dedicated Athlete Recovery Lounge.

The tournament, hosted at Arena SamElyon, will feature teams from Armenia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Serbia, and Sweden. Group games take place from Sunday through Wednesday, with the semifinals on Thursday, 11 September, and the medal games on Friday, 12 September.

Fans can follow the full schedule, results, live stats, and livestream through the event page on the IWBF Europe website. Games will also be streamed live on the IWBF Europe YouTube channel, with updates and highlights shared across IWBF Europe’s social media platforms.

IWBF Europe President Walter Pfaller welcomed Toyota’s involvement:
