IWBF are pleased to announce the publication of three new translations of the 3x3 Official Wheelchair Basketball Rules.
The rules for the 3x3 discipline are now available in Greek, Chinese, and Spanish, as well as the already published English version.
The 3x3 Official Rules were approved by the IWBF Executive Council at their last board meeting in Mies, Switzerland in April 2019. These rules are valid with immediate effect and are mandatory for all official 3x3 competitions of IWBF.
The concept and rules of the 3x3 discipline in the wheelchair game were decided upon following extensive consultation and research considering key factors including game play, logistics, and the spectator experience.
Chairman of the IWBF Technical Commission, Cristian Roja, said:
“I am very pleased we have published the three new translations of the 3x3 rules to assist in the growth of the 3x3 format of the game across the world. On behalf of the commission, I would like to thank all that worked on producing the translations.”
