The countdown is nearly over! The 2025 IWBF Men’s European Championship Division C tips off in Samokov, Bulgaria, on Sunday 7 September 2025, hosted by the Bulgarian Basketball Federation, with ten nations set to battle for promotion to Division B.

The tournament provides a fantastic opportunity for developing nations to gain valuable international competition experience, and it is expected to showcase the continued growth of wheelchair basketball across Europe.

Following the official group draw, the competition schedule has now been confirmed, setting the stage for an exciting week of international wheelchair basketball.

The Groups

  • Group A: Serbia, Hungary, Denmark, Czechia, Bulgaria
  • Group B: Sweden, Armenia, Finland, Belgium, Ireland

All games will be staged at the Arena Samokov, with the Opening Ceremony scheduled for 17:30 local time on Sunday, just before hosts Bulgaria face Serbia in the evening session.

Opening Day Fixtures – Sunday 7 September

  • 09:00 — Serbia vs Hungary
  • 11:15 — Finland vs Belgium
  • 13:30 — Denmark vs Czechia
  • 15:45 — Sweden vs Armenia
  • 17:30 — Opening Ceremony
  • 19:00 — Bulgaria vs Serbia

The competition will continue with daily sessions through to Friday’s medal games, where the gold medal and promotion spot to Division B will be decided.

The 2025 Men’s European Championship Division C promises to deliver six days of competitive basketball and a memorable atmosphere in Bulgaria.
