The Netherlands concluded their Ottawa 2026 campaign on the podium after defeating Great Britain 63–50 in the Women’s World Championship bronze-medal game on Saturday, 19 September, at TD Place.
After seeing their pursuit of a third consecutive world title ended by Canada in the semi-final, the Dutch responded with a strong performance at both ends of the court to secure another World Championship medal.
Bo Kramer inspired the Netherlands with an outstanding all-round display, leading her team in every major statistical category. She finished with 26 points, 13 rebounds and six assists.
Mariska Beijer added 13 points and nine rebounds to help the Netherlands take control of the contest and finish the tournament with a victory.
Robyn Love led Great Britain with a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds, while also providing six assists. Lucy Robinson contributed 12 points.
The victory secured a third consecutive World Championship medal for the Netherlands, underlining their position among the leading teams in the women’s game.
Great Britain completed the tournament in fourth place, their second-best finish at a Women’s World Championship, behind only their silver medal in 2018.
