Due to unforeseen circumstances with a venue at the 2018 World Championships, a number of games on day one have had to be rescheduled.
As a result, three games have been affected and changes to their court and times have been made. Originally set for 9:00, China versus Argentina will now play at 11:45 on court 1, Whilst Brazil against Great Britain and USA against France, remain on court 2 but the times will change to 18:00 and 20:15, respectively. These changes will not affect any ticket purchases as no tickets are required for any of these games.
IWBF Secretary-General, Maureen Orchard, said “It is with regret that we have had to rearrange the fixtures on day one, but to ensure the health and safety of all our teams it was a necessity. We have tried to reduce the impact on teams as much as possible and ensure that no games have been brought forward. We apologise for the changes and any inconvenience this may have caused but we hope everyone can understand the safety of our athletes is our top priority.”
