Australia’s Jaylen Brown has been named the Men’s Tissot Most Valuable Player at the Ottawa 2026 IWBF Wheelchair Basketball World Championships. Brown led the tournament in scoring as Australia claimed the men’s world title with an 81–57 victory over Italy.
Across seven games, Brown averaged 30.1 points, 10.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists. He scored 28 points in the final, capping a championship campaign in which he was a driving force for Australia.
IWBF also announced four Men’s All-Stars, with one player recognised in each classification point range. The selection features players from all four semi-finalist teams.
Frank Pinder (1.0-1.5 Sport Class)
Frank Pinder of Australia was selected in the 1.0–1.5 range. An integral part of the Australian squad, Pinder started all seven games and averaged 29.3 minutes per appearance, playing a vital role in the team’s run to the world title.
Gregg Warburton (2.0-2.5 Sport Class)
Gregg Warburton of Great Britain received the 2.0–2.5 honour. He averaged 12.9 points and 7.6 assists across seven games and helped Great Britain finish with the bronze medal. His performances included 18 points in the quarter-final victory over Japan, with 12 coming in the fourth quarter as Great Britain completed a comeback from 18 points down.
Filippo Carossina (3.0-3.5 Sport Class)
Filippo Carossina of Italy was named the 3.0–3.5 All-Star. He averaged 18.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists in seven starts, helping Italy reach the men’s World Championship final for the first time.
Aliaksandr Halouski (4.0-4.5 Sport Class)
Aliaksandr Halouski of Germany completed the selection in the 4.0–4.5 range. In six appearances, he averaged 17.8 points and 6.0 rebounds as Germany advanced to the semi-finals.
