A total of 57 International Technical Officials (32 referees, six referee supervisors, seven classifiers, six Game Commissioners, and a six-member Tournament Technical Committee) representing 31 nations, will facilitate the safe and fair delivery of the 2022 IWBF Wheelchair Basketball World Championships.
Tournament Technical Committee
The Tournament Technical Committee (TTC) will be led by the Technical Director, Charlie Bethel (GBR) supported by the Assistant Technical Director, Don Perriman (AUS). They are joined by Cristian Roja (ITA), Juan Reyes Magallanes (MEX), Craig Moorgas (RSA) and Dirk Cossaer (BEL) on the TTC.
Referees

Referee Supervisors
Acting as referee supervisors will be Matt Wells (AUS), Sergio Giordano (CAN), Edwin Wallaart (NED) Charles Saunders (RSA), Jorge Bestilleiro (ARG), Max Kindervater (GER).
Classifiers
Chair of the IWBF Classification Commission, Regina Costa (POR), will take on the role as the Championships’ Chief Classifier overseeing the Classification Panel of six: Alberto Cairo (AFG), Beatriz Garcia Hernando (ESP), Lisa Chaffey (AUS), Anne Lachance (CAN), Gabriela Deda Erbenova (CZE), Kees van Breukelen (NED).
Game Commissioners
The Game Commissioners will be Ricardo De Souza (BRA), Taichi Nishimura (JPN), Ang Kean Koo (MAS), Chompoo Wachirasrisukanya (THA), Stefania Marson (ITA), Andrew Schoeman (RSA).
The 2022 World Championships was originally scheduled for November 2022 but was postponed until 9 – 20 June 2023. Hosts United Arab Emirates will welcome over 300 international wheelchair basketball players representing 16 men’s and 12 women’s teams to compete over twelve days of competition at the showcase event.
