France won the European Championship Division B 2016 which took place in Sarajevo. The final saw the French team show their strength and defeated Lithuania 83 -48. However the top two teams earnt themselves promotion to the European Championships Division A next year.
Whilst at the bottom of the rankings Portugal and Ireland who became 9th and 10th will return to the European Championships Division C.
