IWBF Europe have released a statement confirming that EuroCup 2021, the club competition for teams across Europe, will be condensed for this year due to the ongoing impact that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is having on Europe and the rest of the world.
The EuroCup normally takes place over four weekends split into Champions League Preliminary Rounds, EuroLeague Preliminary Rounds, EuroLeague Finals/Champions League Quarter-Finals, and the Champions League Final Four. It will now consist of one weekend of action on 22nd - 25th April 2021, if the situation improves.
IWBF Europe has asked any club that has entered EuroCup 2021 to confirm if they wish to participate in the new format.
