Fifteen European club teams will compete in the preliminary round of IWBF Europe’s Champions League this weekend (1st & 2nd February 2019).
Eight countries from across Europe will be represented as the fifteen clubs come together to compete in the top level inter-continental club competition.
Group A takes place in Italy hosted by UnipolSai Briantea84 Cantu. They will meet Turkish team Galatasaray S.K., Germany’s BG-Baskets Hamburg, Spain’s Bidaideak Bilbao BSR and Russia’s BKIS “Nevskiy Alyans”.
Germany’s RSV Lahn Dill will host group B, welcoming Spain’s BSR Amiab Albacete, Great Britain’s The Owls, Italy’s GSD Porto Torres and France’s Le Cannet.
In group C, Turkey’s Beşiktaş JK TSBT, cs Meaux bf of France, Italy’s Deco Amicacci Giulianova and Spain’s BSR ACE Gran Canaria head to Israel, to compete against hosts Ilan Ramat Gan.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Champions League quarter-finals whilst the third and fourth placed teams will enter into the Euro League Finals.
