The Chilean capital Santiago will host the seventh edition of the Parapan American Games in 2023. It will be the first time that the South American country stages the event.
Santiago 2023 will be held between 17-26 November and will feature 2,000 athletes from 33 countries, who will compete in 17 sports.

The group draw took place on Thursday 17 August in Santiago, Chile.
Group A: Brazil, Canada, El Salvador*, Colombia.
Group B: Argentina, Peru*, Chile, United States of America
*Mexico and Bolivia withdrew from the competition and were replaced by El Salvador and Peru.
Group A: Argentina, Canada, Chile, Venezuela.
Group B: Brazil, Colombia, Puerto Rico, United States of America

The men's and women's wheelchair basketball competition will consist of 42 games over 8 days between 18 - 25 November 2023.

The winning team from both the men's and women's competitions will earn a ticket to the Paris 2024 Paralympics Games.
Second place in the women's competition will earn a place in the Repechage Tournament in Osaka, Japan, whilst second and third in the men's competition will earn a place at the men's Repechage Tournament in Antibes, France.
There will be 8 men's teams and 8 women's teams competing at the Santiago 2023 Parapan Am Games.
