POSTPONED - Due to travel difficulties the Men's U23 African Championship has been postponed from 8-9 December 2021 to 23-27 February 2022.
South Africa, Kenya and DR Congo will compete in the Africa U23 Championship in Johannesburg, the tournament will be played as a round-robin with first and second spot playing in the Final for the ticket to the Men's U23 World Championship.
The championship is the Zonal qualification tournament for the Men's U23 World Championship. It will determine which African country will represent the Zone at the world competition.

The IWBF Men’s U23 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship is an international competition showcasing the best young male wheelchair basketball players from around the world. Zonal qualification tournaments are held in each of the four IWBF Zones (Americas, Africa, Europe, and Asia Oceania) to determine the countries that qualify.
The event, held every four years, made its debut in 1997 in Toronto, Canada, and continues to be a platform for the next generation of elite athletes in the sport.
