Bahrain 2021 Asian Youth Para Games

The wheelchair basketball competition at the Bahrain 2021 Asian Youth Para Games will act as the qualification tournament for the 2022 Men’s U23 World Championship.

Countries: Bahrain, I.R. Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Thailand

Seven countries will compete and the top two teams will qualify for the Men’s U23 World Championship next year alongside Japan and Australia*.

*Australia have been granted an automatic spot by the IWBF Executive Council following a formal request submitted due to the Australian Government’s COVID-19 restrictions on travel.

The seven teams will play a single round-robin to determine which teams make the top four and the medal games.
