The 2026 IWBF U25 Women’s Africa Championships will take place in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, bringing together the region’s emerging talent in a key qualifying event on the road to the 2027 IWBF U25 Women’s World Championship.
The tournament will be hosted by the Fédération Congolaise de Basketball sur Fauteuil and will feature four national teams competing for continental honours and a place on the world stage.
The top-placed team at the conclusion of the championship will secure qualification for the 2027 IWBF U25 Women’s World Championship, making every game crucial.
All matches will be played at the Gymnase Multisports de la Police Nationale, Kinshasa, DR Congo.

The IWBF Women’s U25 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship is a prestigious international competition that brings together the top under-25 women’s national teams from around the world. The tournament serves not only as a platform for high-level competition but also plays a crucial role in the development and growth of the women’s game at the youth level.
Held every four years, the championship made its debut in 2011 and has since become a key event in the global wheelchair basketball calendar, driving participation and inspiring the next generation of athletes.
Teams qualify through zonal tournaments held in the four IWBF Zones: Americas, Africa, Europe, and Asia Oceania, ensuring the best young talent from each region is represented.
