On September 8th-17th, 2011 in Nazereth, Israel 12 men’s and 7 women’s wheelchair basketball teams will be in the hunt for a Medal in the European World Championships and a spot in the 2012 London Paralympic games. 

The 22 teams competing for Gold in the Europeans are:

The teams competing for the Men

Group A - Spain, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Sweden, Poland

Group B - Israel, Italy, Turkey, Switzerland, Belgium, Great Britain

The Teams completing for the Women

Great Britain, Germany, France, Israel, The Netherlands, Turkey, Spain 

The teams will also be qualifying for a spot in the 2012 Paralympics in London. There will be 5 spots available for the men’s teams and 3 spots available for the women’s teams. Great Britain, as host of the 2012 Paralympics, will automatically qualify.
