The last of the four qualification tournaments will take place in Guadalajara, Mexico as part of the Parapan American Games.

Eight men’s and eight women’s team will play for the right to go to London 2012 with the top three men’s teams qualifying.

Parapan America Games Schedule

 The women’s qualification process will be a bit different. The Americas was awarded the extra spot for women when Africa did not have a tournament. However the fourth place team will have to defend against South Arica if they claim the right to play for the spot for Africa.  That decision and where the games will be played will be made at the end of the Parapan American Games.

In the men’s division the USA will be back to defend their championship from the 2009 Americas Cup where they beat Canada who will be out to prove that they deserve to be champions this time. Brazil who lost to Mexico in a very close game in 2009 will be trying to win back the chance to go to London while Mexico will certainly be trying to win at home. Filling out the field and hoping for one of the spots are Argentina, Colombia, El Salvador and Guatemala.

On the women’s side defending World Champions USA will be looking to repeat as # 1 team in the Americas with Canada looking to get back on top. Argentina, Brazil, El Salvador, Guatemala, Peru and Mexico will also be looking to win one of the 4 spots up for grabs.
