Galatasaray, after consulting with the Turkish (able-body) Basketball Federation has proposed to go back one week earlier (to the originally proposed dates) for the IWBF Europe Champions Cup Finals.
On September 8th-17th, 2011 in Nazereth, Israel 12 men’s and 7 women’s wheelchair basketball teams will be in the hunt for a Medal in the European World Championships and a spot in the 2012 London Paralympic games.
The IWBF extends our condolences to the family, friends and teammates of Michel Gradelle who recently passed away at the age of 53. Michel was a Paralympic, World and European Champion based in France who many were fortunate to see play the game of Wheelchair Basketball in his home country and around the world. Birmingham, England is the host city for the 2010 World Championships for both Men and Women.
The draw for the Pools for the World Championships for Men and Women to be held in Birmingham, July 2010 has been held.
